Spy Sweeper offered better protection, options and features than any of the other packages we had tested. This new version(3.5) was unrivalled in its ability to provide a one stop solution to spyware.

The protection was very good, it had detected and eliminated the nastiest of the Hijackware and trojans we threw against it. The scanning was first class, it seemed to find everything including those elusive keyloggers and trojans we had planted with no false-positives. There no problems with removing coolweb search, which it totally elminated. The removal was almost perfect, with just a few minor traces of some spyware were left that were really ineffective components anyway.

The interface was well made, informative, and the options were extensive. There were only some minor interface annoyances, like fixed width windows. The interface did feature an expandable tree view that made results quite readable. You can also choose to ignore tracking cookies as well, this was popular. The quarantine and active protection were handy and effective. We stopped several drive-by downloads and malicious downloads from working with active protection. While we were able to use quarantine to isolate and restore some adware that we needed to make some trialware function.
